Dance now! We will be the last (2023)
(A macabre dance in 11 scenes)

Each drawing measures 100 x 120 cm, mixed media (charcoal, dry pastels, oil pastels, oil) on paper, the whole thing is 11 meters long.

“You are afraid of the end,” the title of my frieze seems to say. But after every ending, there is always a new beginning.

The frieze ends with a naked young woman, a white apparition against an almost abstract black background. With a gesture of her hand, she invites us to follow her.

Where to? Into the darkness? Towards death?

Or perhaps towards the dance?

Towards the circle dance she seems to be setting in motion, pointing us back to the leader at the beginning?

And so the circle closes. The dance begins again.
