Heads without bodies, isolated in close-up and exposed to the viewer’s gaze, which they attempt to escape through a silent, introverted reserve — or, on the contrary, openly displaying themselves, talkative and expressive: how can one paint that elusive connection between oneself and another?

My heads pose.

They pose as saints.

Their gaze raised, lowered, or directed towards the viewer.

Those who have posed for me are neither stars nor media icons.

But they have the right to be elevated to the status of saints…
