It all began with my encounter with Jac, a model, storyteller and mime who tells stories through the body.

I asked him to reenact narratives: the myth of Icarus, The Combat of Tancred and Clorinda.

​

Each pose then becomes a scene. These sequences of drawings emerge from the body’s silent storytelling, with a beginning and an end.

I continued these narratives by asking other models to pose with objects, particularly dolls and a teddy bear, and observing their encounters: do the naked bodies become transformed? Do they become more desirable? Stranger, more unsettling, more disturbing? And do the dolls, through contact with them, become more human?
